LCS Getty Museum Challenge

LCS Getty Museum Challenge

Dear parents, students and colleagues,

To brighten up these holidays, (re)discover works of art and have a good time with the family, we suggest you to participate in the challenge launched a few days ago by the employees of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles !

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT

Reproduce a work of art of your choice, alone, with your family or with objects.

WHERE ?

At home or in your garden... Elsewhere, it's not reasonable ! ;-)

HOW ?

- By staging yourself or by using what you have on hand to reproduce the painting. The idea is to use what you have at your disposal at home, and only that !

- Make a montage that puts your photo and the chosen painting in parallel.

- You must indicate the name of the artist, the title of the work, its date of creation and the museum in which it is located.

- Then send your photo by email at with the name and surname of the participant.

WHEN ?

During the holidays and before May 10th midnight !

No photos will be published before the end of the competition.

♦ Each participant authorises the LCS to publish the photos sent on the school website and social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter).

A selection of pictures

Depending on the number and style of the works received, a jury will award prizes in different categories such as: still life, medieval work, modern art, aboriginal art, Australian art, best family staging, most unusual work, etc.
