The 5th Asia-Pacific Swimming Championships were a success!

AN UNFORGETTABLE COMPETITION

The 5th edition of the Asia-Pacific Swimming Championships ended Sunday 9th April at Lycée Condorcet Sydney with the closing ceremony. The week was amazing! For young swimmers aged 10 to 18, taking part in a competition of this magnitude was a magical experience: 4 days of competition away from home, 272 swimmers from 12 French international schools, videos and times of their races available Live on the Internet and on social networks, a 2004 Olympic medal sponsor (relay 4x200 metres freestyle) and former swimming world champion (200 metres freestyle) in 2005, photographers, reporters, officials... The swimmers gave the best of themselves, they can be proud of their results: 44 new records were registered!

AN EXEMPLARY ORGANIZATION

The Lycée Condorcet of Sydney organized this 5th edition with the support of Randwick City Council and DRLC Maroubra Swimming Club. The Lycée Condorcet Sydney school community played a key role: 100 volunteers were present throughout the week and 150 families welcomed young swimmers. The organisation of the discovery day of the Australian coastal sports activities was made possible thanks to South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club. The organizing team would also like to thank the CAPN 2017 sponsors: Solar + Solution, SLS, HSBC Bank Australia, Santa Vittoria, AMC Commercial Cleaning, Crédit Agricole CIB, French Australian Chamber of Commerce, Associated Translators & Linguists, Snape Park Tennis Center.
