IB CAS October-November report

IB CAS October-November report

Throughout the last two months, we have done many collective things as a class but especially as a team. We started off by working on UN day preparations, which included: making a UN day sign, growing plants and making a compost bin. And on the actual day, we sacrificed our lunch time to set up our UN day table and we put up our signs up and displayed our plants,
We educated many children on the sustainability and raised awareness on world issues to our school. It was a great experience for all of us; we were forced to get out of our comfort zone which benefited our communicating skills and our ability to work as a team.

After the weeks that followed UN week, we spent our CAS hour doing ceramic art. Our supervisor, Miss Smiriglia taught us the slab technique. We had a lot of fun making plates and little Christmas ornaments, which we sold at the Christmas market. We raised $130 and the money will be donated to the Malayya Foundation.
It was a very creative activity which the whole class enjoyed. We have also been doing a lot of bake sales from which we raised $345 for the water is Life charity.
Watch this space for future IB CAS Reports. Thank you!
