World Environment Day

World Environment Day

On Friday 9 June, please come and celebrate World Environment Day with the Eco Committee!

From 3:30pm to 4:30 pm, this Friday:

  • Visit the sensorial garden.  Departure at 3.45pm from the hall. The teachers and students have been working very hard to maintain this garden that can be found behind the gymnasium.  Using a grant from Randwick Council, seedlings and garden containers were bought a couple of years ago. Come and see the results!
  • Inspect the self-watering gardens beds.  With their science teacher, Sofian Irsheid, the college students have been busy constructing self-watering (wicking) garden beds that we use in the garden. Come see all their work in the science classes E001, E003, E007.  To better understand how they work and the tools used, visit the official site.
  • Visit the Eco Market. There will be a small Eco market where we will be selling small jars of worm juice produced at school, great fertilizer! (You can also bring your jar, we'll fill it), seedlings (radishes, lettuce, and green beans) prepared by Year 5 and 6 students, used books and uniforms.
  • Test your knowledge on what can and cannot be recycled to win native seeds.

Hope to see you all there!
