Parents' representatives' elections

Parents' representatives' elections

Date of the elections and practical voting procedures

The list of candidates will be displayed at the entrance of C building from the 16th September.
They are sent to all electors with, if available, a statement per list which would have been communicated to the school and are also available on Pronote.

The elections will be held the 7th October 2016 until 5pm and voting will be done online. You will be able to vote online from 5pm on the 04th October.

I would like to draw your attention to the following points:

  • Each primary parent votes twice: once to elect the School Committee representatives and a second time to elect the School Council representatives;
  • The monitoring of the ballot will be done based on email addresses provided to the school. It is important that each elector checks that he/she will have access to their email address during the ballot that he/she gave the school.
  • Nationality is not relevant to participate in the ballot

Finally, I would like to remind you that an information meeting for parents who wish to be a candidate will be held in the meeting room on Friday 9th September 2016 at 8.30am.

Ballot system

The parent representatives are elected based on a ballot system of lists and are chosen proportionately according to the highest numbers of votes obtained by the lists.

Each parent, with parental authority, is an elector and is eligible; each parent only has one vote, irrespective of the number of children enrolled at the school. The ballot lists will be finalised on the 14th September 2016 and will be available on the parents’ page of Pronote. All request to modify the list must be sent to Nathalie Ribeiro.

Each list has at least two names and, at the most, eight names.Only the lists with parent candidates from primary (maternelle and elementary) and secondary school are accepted.
The ballot lists must be given to the school before the 16th September 2016 at 4pm.

It is important to note that if all documents from the Council are bilingual, all meetings are exclusively conducted in French.
